Decorative Panel "The Palace Peacock" – Indo-Royal Artistic Fabric size 123 x 81 cm Panel in decorative fabric of exclusive Deco Italian Design conception, part of Royal Fauna, our collection dedicated to the animal world: a bold and refined homage to the most iconic creatures of nature, reinterpreted with a scenographic, cultured and memorable gaze. The absolute protagonist is the peacock — the most vain and magnificent bird in the animal kingdom, portrayed in full glory on a Mughal palace terrace, with its tail unfurled in a cascade of golden and turquoise eyes that occupies almost the entire composition. It is not a tail: it is a mantle, a curtain, a declaration of existence. The scene opens onto a dream courtyard: full-arch Indo-Islamic arches decorated with golden inlays, light marble columns, monumental vases with lush plants, coral pink flowers dotting the deep green of tropical leaves. In the background, beyond the arches, a white temple glimpsed through the golden haze of late Indian afternoon. The outer border, with its turquoise and ivory geometric-floral motif on a moss green background, frames the scene like a Moghul miniature of large format, recalling the painting traditions of the royal Jaipur and Udaipur manuscripts. The result is a panel of extraordinary refinement, capable of bringing into any interior the wide breath and the warm light of another continent, of another era, of a court where beauty was considered a state duty.
