Alle Auktionen / Sonstige / Paperweight (10) - Murano glass, Venetian candies
Made entirely by hand in Murano, this set of 10 glass candies reinterprets one of the most-loved subjects of Venetian tradition: a touch of elegance for the table setting, as a place card or chopstick rest, and an original paperweight for the desk. Each candy is hand-blown in solid transparent glass. The central body is wrapped in thin threads of milky white glass, spiraling like the stripes on a sweet. The two ends are pressed and hand-folded to imitate the twisted paper of a candy: here the color becomes lighter and more transparent, and light passes through the glass folds, drawing colored reflections on the surface where they rest. The set gathers a palette of vibrant and delicate colors: emerald green, lime green, two in aqua green, blue, peach pink, two in amethyst, and two in transparent crystal. Together they form a cheerful and luminous composition, to be placed in a glass bowl, on a shelf, or at the center of the table. At mealtime, the candies brighten a lunch or dinner with a touch of color: a detail that guests will remember. They are also a refined gift for lovers of artistic glass. Each candy is unique: the white spirals, the folds at the ends, and the color nuances vary from piece to piece. Any small imperfections are a natural sign of handcraftsmanship. Details Technique: hand-blown solid glass with milky glass decoration. Number of pieces: 10 candies. Dimensions of each candy: about 8 × 3 × 1.5 cm (length × width × thickness). Colors: emerald green, lime green, aqua green (2), blue, peach pink, amethyst (2), crystal (2). Uses: decoration, paperweight, place setting, chopstick rest. Condition: new, never used. The set is accompanied by a certificate of originality, attesting to handcraftsmanship in Murano glass. Fast shipping, with careful and secure packaging.
