Patrick Wendling (1957-2016) - Nobellia

Superb and important geometric abstract painting titled "NOBELIA", created in 1996 by German painter Patrick Wendling (1957-2016). This masterful large-format work (120 x 80 cm) offers a remarkably dynamic composition. The artist orchestrates a game of tensions and perfect balances between strict angular shapes, colored diagonal lines, and circular forms suspended in the air. The chromatic palette is both vivid and contrasted, blending deep reds and blues with soft touches of pastel pink and mauve. Characteristics : • Artist: Patrick Wendling (1957-2016) • Title of the work: NOBELIA • Technique: Oil/Acrylic painting on canvas • Support: Cotton canvas mounted on an original wooden stretcher • Signature: Signed and dated at the bottom right “P. Wendling '96”; countersigned, titled, and stamped on the back by the artist. • Year: 1996 • Period: 1990-1999 • Condition: Good (There is a minor localized paint loss, see detail photos. The canvas remains firmly stretched and clean). • Overall dimensions: 120 × 80 × 2 cm • Country of origin: Germany (Weil am Rhein Studio) The authenticity and traceability of this work are exceptional. The back of the cotton canvas bears all the original markings in the artist’s hand: • The title of the work written by hand: "NOBELIA" • The artist’s signature and date: P. Wendling 96 • The official artist’s studio stamp indicating his status as a "Kunstmaler" (Artist Painter) as well as the address of his studio. State of conservation: The canvas is in an overall impeccable, clean, and well-preserved condition. Only a very localized paint skip is noted (visible in the detail photos), which does not in any way detract from the aesthetic power of the overall composition. An ideal and highly decorative piece for European abstract art collectors of the late 20th century or to enhance a contemporary interior. Careful shipping and tracking.
