Set of 3 Polished Black Petrified Wood Freeform Sculptures – 14–23 cm / 7.4 kg Total – Dipterocarpus – Java, Indonesia (Miocene) Description: An extraordinary set of three free-standing, hand-polished petrified wood sculptures (Dipterocarpus sp.) sourced from Java, Indonesia. Dating back to the Miocene epoch (approx. 5 to 23 million years ago), these 7.4 kg specimens stand out for their striking deep jet-black mineral saturation and contrasting light vein patterns. Visual & Aesthetic Highlights: * Dramatic Dark Saturation: Deep carbon-black petrification creates a luxury aesthetic, offset by cream, honey-gold, and tan silica veining running through natural fissures. * Detailed Wood Texture: Fine vertical grain lines and preserved cellular wood fibers remain distinctly visible beneath the high-gloss surface. * Free-Standing Formats: Each piece is cut flat at the base to stand securely without support, creating a powerful tiered display set for desktops, bookshelves, or modern interiors. * 360-Degree Mirror Polish: Fully polished around their smooth, rounded contours to maximize light reflection and color depth.
