Philippine table in mother-of-pearl, 19th century

Descriptio Wood and mother-of-pearl inlays. Measures 68 x 65 x 52 cm. Side table with a lobed top supported by a central column and truncated legs, decorated with fine gold lines and iridescent appliqués. The top features a landscape scene with fantastical waterfront structures, staircases, boats, and an isolated building on the right, all enveloped in a golden atmosphere. The edge of the tabletop is highlighted by a border of small inlays, while the base echoes the ornamental style of the piece with its slender profile and curved legs. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
