Offered without a minimum price: A Piaggio Ape TL2T with flatbed from 1977. The Ape has been meticulously restored and is in technically flawless condition. It is ready to drive immediately and is suitable for both collectors and enthusiasts of classic Italian vehicles. Details: Year of manufacture: 1977 Model: TL2T with flatbed Fully restored Engine completely rebuilt Upgraded to 12-volt electrical system Fully roadworthy Insured for 2026 (German license plate; can be transferred) The previous owner had the Ape repainted. The finish is generally appealing, but not perfectly executed in all areas. As a result there are a few small paint chips. The body is otherwise rust-free. The Ape runs, shifts, and brakes perfectly. Viewings and test drives are possible at any time by arrangement. Unfortunately the papers for the Ape have been lost in its 49-year history. However, the insurance can be transferred without any issues. /// ** Body and Paint ** The paint is in good condition; on the flatbed there are some minor paint chips in a few spots. The only rust spots are surface rust on those areas -> surface rust. There is no other rust or perforation. The chrome – where present – is in good condition. The seat has also been reupholstered in the past. There are no obvious damages, cracks, or similar (see photos). All rubber parts on the footrests and handles are in good order. The tank is watertight and shows no signs of rust. ** Technical Condition ** Tires and brakes are flawless. The power transmission from the engine works without any issues. The gears shift cleanly and the clutch also functions without problems. The engine runs solid and smooth. All gaskets have been renewed and no oil leaks are known. All oils were changed in this context as well. The Ape starts well, especially at warmer temperatures – but must be started manually. It does not have an electric starter, but must be started by the lever inside. The electrical system has been converted to 12V. All lights work and there is even a fuel gauge. ** Documentation ** Unfortunately there are only the insurance documents. Vehicle papers (ABE) are no longer available. However, the insurance checks the VIN for inconsistencies, so the Ape can be moved with valid plates. Within Germany the insurance can even be transferred. ** Shipping ** The Ape cannot be shipped; it must be picked up near Darmstadt, close to Frankfurt.
