Plant table - Beech - Piëdestal / Pedestal

Very beautiful and decorative pedestal / plant stand. The pedestal is 89 cm tall and the top has a diameter of 31 cm. The weight is about 5 kg. The pedestal probably dates from the 1980s of the last century. Very beautiful (and luxurious) are the three stylish stems on which the top rests in triquetra form. The style is classic, but you could call it eclectic, or Hollywood Regency. The wood used is probably beech and it has almost a mahogany color. The finish is lacquer. This gives the wood a very beautiful and natural shine. There are some light and logical signs of wear visible. Here and there there are some scratches, especially on the top and on the base. These are light signs of use that are not distracting (see photos). The pedestal can be used in several ways. It can serve as a plant stand, where it is very nice to place a large plant with hanging greenery on it. Because of the height of the furniture, such a plant really stands out. You can also place artwork on the pedestal (see photos). A statue or a vase comes out especially on this beautiful pedestal. You could also use it as a telephone table, and even as a narrow side table with a bottle of wine and a glass, though it is probably not made for that. The three legs of the pedestal can be unscrewed from the top plate and the base. For shipping it is taken apart into five pieces to make the package as compact as possible. After arrival it is easily and quickly reassembled. It is packed carefully and shipped insured.
