Very finely decorated garden landscape and floral painting on white porcelain. Edge decorated with floral ornament, so fine that you can count the petals. Soft-paste porcelain was made from very rare Huashi (slippery stone); it was mainly used for "scholar table" objects. Dishes, seal ink box and brush wash are often very finely painted. It was produced in a limited edition, specially ordered for the luxury European market. It was many times better than standard blue-and-white porcelain. Soft-paste porcelain is softer, thus also more susceptible to chipping.
