posacenere ottone massiccio - Ashtray - Brass

Important solid brass ashtray with a suggestive handkerchief-like shape: a square surface that seems to crease and fold onto itself, creating wide waves around the central tray. The pronounced folds and asymmetric corners give it a strong sculptural character. Light runs over the reliefs, alternating golden reflections and shadowed areas that enhance its movement. A striking object with notable presence, weighing about **1,8 kg**, pleasant to appreciate even simply as a decorative accessory. Perfect on a desk, a console or a coffee table, where the warm brass tone and the dynamic shape can take center stage. On the bottom there is a geometric mark engraved and the letter “A”, visible in the photographs; manufacturer and author not identified. **Conditions overall good, with evident signs of use and time:** scratches, stains, oxidations and surface unevenness, present both in the tray and on the edges and on the bottom. On the back there is also a small light area with surface residue, documented in detail. The photographs are an integral part of the description. **Indicative measurements:** 19 × 19 × 5 cm. **Weight:** about 1,8 kg. **Material:** solid brass. A object of great personality, where the solidity of metal meets the visual softness of a draped fabric.
