A natural sapphire, intensely blue and luminous, is framed by a band of sparkling diamonds. The colours blue and white are reminiscent of the sky on a carefree summer's day. Here the radiant firmament, there the clouds glowing white in the light. This ring evokes happy feelings. The high-quality, very clear stone is faceted in an octagonal shape and entices you to look at it again and again: Sometimes the surface reflects the light, then again the sapphire draws the eye into its interior, where flashes of light and reflections catch the eye. A few characteristic inclusions demonstrate the naturalness of the stone. The light framing of white gold and diamonds protects the stone and at the same time lends the design a wonderful lightness. The combination of gemstones in this ring is characterized by a strong meaning. The sapphire has always been a symbol of fidelity. The white diamonds in this ring appear as symbols of the eternal love of the giver, as the diamond is considered indestructible and therefore imperishable. The ring from around 1970 combines this classic symbolism with a modern design. The ring face rises elegantly and holds its precious setting in an openwork basket. The high-carat white gold from which the ring was handcrafted is elegantly understated and provides the setting with a dignified frame. An independent certificate from the German Gemmological Society has confirmed the quality and value of the materials. It is supplied with the ring.
