Premium - Celestine Geode An indispensable piece of your interior decoration Celestine comes from the Latin term « coelestis » which means « celestial ». It is more commonly translated as “sky blue”. In 1789, shortly after its discovery, the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner named this crystal thus, whose reflections resemble a sky bathed in light. Its color, of great softness, has earned it the nickname “Angels’ Stone.” According to legend, it was born from the pure and hypnotic song of angels. It is also associated with the constellation Pleiades, considered the spiritual cradle of humanity. Many synonyms are attached to it, including celestite, cliftonite, dioxynite, sicilianite, or strontian sulfate.
