Dial and Hands The striking silver sunburst dial is presented in well-preserved condition, offering a brilliant backdrop for the applied Rado anchor logo and intact faceted indices. The blue printed gazelle logo and crisp black script add wonderful character, while a date window at three o'clock features distinctive red numerals. The original black baton hands retain their luminous inserts, displaying light patina with visible oxidation and aging on the metal surfaces and lume that align with the authentic vintage character of the watch. Case and Crystal The stainless steel tonneau case displays honest vintage wear, characterized by a brushed top surface that transitions beautifully to polished flanks. Moderate scratches and handling marks consistent with age and use are present throughout, while the case edges remain reasonably defined. The watch retains its signed Rado anchor crown in good condition with defined fluting. A standout feature is the distinctive faceted edge sapphire crystal, which remains clear with minimal visible scratches or wear, amplifying the visual depth of the dial beneath it. Movement Powering this Sapphire Gazelle is a gold-plated automatic movement, stamped with both 2797 and 2783 caliber numbers on different plates. The movement presents a clean overall appearance with some light patina visible on the rotor, which is correctly engraved with Rado and 25 Jewels. Recording +11+14s/day on the timegrapher, it is exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. Strap The watch is fitted with its original signed integrated stainless steel bracelet, completing the period aesthetic. The bracelet shows moderate scratches and wear consistent with the case, and it secures with a signed clasp bearing the Rado seahorse logo. It accommodates a maximum wrist size of up to 18cm. Condition Good vintage condition. The dial and faceted sapphire crystal are exceptionally well-preserved, while the original hands show expected aging and oxidation. The tonneau case and integrated bracelet display honest moderate scratches and handling marks consistent with regular use. Supported by the strong timegrapher results, the automatic movement is running very well. Dimensions The case measures 37mm in diameter, excluding the crown.
