Alle Auktionen / Teppiche & Textilien / Raffinato Lace Blu Notte – 8,30 Metri di Pizzo per...
Splendid sartorial lace in an elegant midnight blue, characterized by a rich cutwork texture that creates on the surface a refined abstract floral motif. A fabric with great impact: observed tone-on-tone it appears sophisticated and discreet, while layered over a light or contrasting lining it fully reveals the complexity of the design, creating magnificent plays of translucency. The hand is pleasant, soft and sufficiently substantial, with a slight elasticity that increases its versatility in tailoring and allows the fabric to follow the contours without losing its structure. In terms of characteristics and appearance, the composition plausibly appears to be predominantly synthetic fibers, such as polyamide and/or polyester, with a small elastic component. In the absence of the original label, the composition is indicated as an estimate. The generous yardage makes this lot particularly interesting for evening and ceremonial dresses, skirts, blouses, tops, sleeves and inserts, lingerie, overlays on contrasting linings, theatrical costumes and tailored creations. An elegant lace but not overly classic, capable of adapting also to contemporary and sophisticated designs. Measurements: 830 × 140 cm Weight: about 200 g per linear meter Total length: a full 8.30 meters The photographs are an integral part of the description and show the fabric both gathered and laid flat and in transparency, to highlight the workmanship, texture and the particular effect of the pattern.
