Ranch set in pure linen - Florentine elegance by Frette...

The splendid vintage tablecloth in linen blend or cotton shown in the photo is signed Frette, the famous Italian brand and world leader in luxury home linens. This archival piece dates back to the mid-20th century (roughly the 1970s) and is characterized by a distinctly retro and floral style: The design: It features a rich perimeter frame decorated with botanical and floral motifs, including prominent sunflowers, wild roses, and pomegranates. In the center is an elegant coordinated oval medallion that echoes the buds and smaller leaves. The color palette: It centers on warm earth tones, typical of design of that period, ranging from burnt brown and chestnut to ochre yellow, mustard, and golden shades on a natural white/ivory background with a rustic yet refined feel. The brand: Frette has historically been synonymous with artisanal quality and prized yarns; its vintage printed tablecloths of this kind, made in pure linen or sturdy Egyptian cotton, are today highly sought after by cottagecore enthusiasts and collectors of vintage luxury linens.
