Replica of Medieval Silver “The Cross of Faith” Silver...

A highly evocative Replica of Crusader silver denier attributed to Bohemond III of Antioch, transformed into a striking pendant while preserving the bold medieval character of the original coin. The obverse is dominated by a large cross within a circular border, a powerful emblem of faith, sovereignty, and the Latin Christian identity of the Crusader states in the Levant. Around it runs a worn but still atmospheric surrounding legend, lending the piece the unmistakable presence of a genuine medieval issue. The reverse presents a more intricate Crusader monogram / heraldic device enclosed within a circular border and surrounded by stars and lettering, adding visual depth and reinforcing the coin’s ceremonial and dynastic appeal. Together, the two faces capture the spirit of the Principality of Antioch at its height: a frontier realm where European chivalric tradition, Christian devotion, and Eastern influence met in one of the most fascinating chapters of medieval history. As a wearable historical object, this denier carries more than numismatic interest alone. The prominent cross motif makes it especially attractive as a symbolic piece, evoking protection, steadfast faith, pilgrimage, and the sacred authority associated with Crusader coinage. Its silver surface, irregular medieval strike, and softened circulation wear only enhance its authenticity and charm, giving the pendant a raw, timeworn beauty that suits both collectors of Crusader material and admirers of medieval jewellery with strong historical presence. An appealing and characterful piece for collectors of Crusader coinage, medieval silver, Antioch issues, and devotional pendants, this is a pendant that unites history, symbolism, and wearable elegance in a single object.
