Revox MK 3-way – in nice condition The Revox 3-way is a classic loudspeaker built to the well-known Swiss quality standards. It is a serious three-way system with a separate tweeter, a dome midrange driver, and a woofer with the bass-reflex port on the front. The cabinet feels very solid and clearly built to last. In terms of sound, the speaker is tuned for a neutral and honest representation, as you would expect from Revox. Vocals and instruments in the midrange sound clear and natural, and the treble is crystal clear without becoming tiring. The bass is tight and controlled thanks to the design, so the music doesn’t tend to thump. What makes these speakers practical is their placement. Because the bass-reflex port is at the front, they are less sensitive to the distance from the back wall, and you can place them relatively easily in the room. The 3-way system also provides a good separation between instruments, which adds calm to the soundstage. A neat, solidly built set that is technically and acoustically well put together.
