Richard Ginori - Sculpture

Imagine owning not a simple decorative object, but a piece of scientific and artistic iconography signed by one of the most famous manufactories in the world. This extraordinary bust depicts Alessandro Volta, the inventor of the electric pile and one of the fathers of modern physics, immortalized with the sharpness and elegance that only biscuit porcelain can confer. The busts of illustrious figures created in biscuit porcelain by the Ginori manufactory are among the objects most sought after by collectors of scientific antiques, neoclassical sculpture, and fine European porcelains. The matte surface, marble-like Carrara, captures light with exceptional softness, making this piece an element of extraordinary prestige for a professional study, a library or a private collection of note. Founded in 1737 by Marchese Carlo Ginori in Doccia, the Ginori manufactory has for almost three centuries been synonymous with sculptural mastery and technical perfection. In the nineteenth century, Ginori distinguished itself at the European Universal Expositions for the extraordinary quality of its biscuit and for the commemorative series dedicated to the greatest geniuses of human history (from Leonardo da Vinci to Volta, Dante and Michelangelo). The Ginori biscuit busts depicting scientists of the Enlightenment and Romanticism are produced in limited editions and difficult to find on the market in excellent condition. Bear the raw brand impressed "GINORI" under the base and the inscription "VOLTA" on the front, absolute guarantee of authenticity and historical value. This sculpture represents the perfect union between the history of Italian science and the high craftsmanship of Tuscan ceramics. Dimensions: 16x9x7 cm Good condition, shows small signs of wear, see photos in the gallery which are an integral part of the description.
