Robbie (XXI) - Orsi nella neve

This painting depicts a mother polar bear with her cub. It is made with oil colors, largely applied with a spatula as seen in the textured details. In some spots dark sand has been added to the color, containing small fragments of hematite, a metal that reflects light and makes the snowy areas look as if they are truly icy. The painting is imposing, measuring 197x145 cm; the bears are life-sized and the work is truly striking. The canvas is shipped unstretched, rolled in a tube, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. EU shipping only; orders coming from non-EU countries will be cancelled! Robbie loves to portray animals, works with oil colors, mostly with a spatula.
