Alle Auktionen / Nautica, Technica & Optik / Rollei Rolleicord I "Art Déco" - "Tapeten" | Analogue camera
Here is a magnificent, iconic and historically valuable medium format twin-lens reflex camera: the Rolleicord I (commonly called Rolleicord Art Déco), produced in Germany by the prestigious Franke & Heidecke in Braunschweig between 1933 and 1936. The lot is presented in good overall condition, with normal signs of use and conservation consistent with the age of the object, and it is complete with its mechanical focal‑plane shutter and its original Carl Zeiss era optics. Optics: The optical section is composed of two renowned pre‑war 75mm lenses: on top it carries the original viewing lens Heidoscop-Anastigmat 1:4 f=7.5cm, while underneath it is equipped with the prestigious and sharp Carl Zeiss Jena Triotar 1:4.5 f=7.5cm. The lenses show an overall good visual condition for a piece of this historical period. The identification inscriptions and the logos engraved along the front barrels are sharp and beautifully legible. Mechanics: The lot has been tested and is mechanically functional. The excellent central mechanical shutter Friedrich Deckel Compur responds to manual controls, firing regularly at the speeds set by the outer ring. The side knob for manual focus adjustment moves smoothly and is operable. The flexible wire remote shutter mounted on the front activates regularly. Aesthetics: Good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The splendid and characteristic metal coating with a geometric raised pattern in Art Déco style is well preserved on the front and sides, maintaining its unmistakable texture. The black metal body shows normal and light signs of aging, partial and negligible superficial patina, and minimal losses of vintage paint localized on the sharp edges of the base. Tracked international shipping, fully insured and professionally super-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
