Rolling Stones - Blue & Lonesome (UK) – 2021 RS No.9...

Issued exclusively through the Rolling Stones' RS No.9 Carnaby store in London, this 2021 edition of Blue & Lonesome is one of the scarcer coloured-vinyl variants of the album, pressed on the bespoke "Stones Red" heavyweight vinyl used for the Carnaby exclusive series. This special release was produced in a strictly limited run of only 1,000 copies, with approximately 500 made available through the physical Carnaby Street store and 500 online. It is housed in the original gatefold sleeve and includes the original inner sleeves, forming part of the highly sought-after RS No.9 exclusive Stones Red releases. Originally released in 2016, Blue & Lonesome represented a deliberate return to the music that first brought The Rolling Stones together. Rather than recording a conventional album of new Jagger/Richards compositions, the band went back to the Chicago blues repertoire that had shaped their earliest years. Recorded largely live in the studio over only a few days, the album has a raw, immediate character and includes interpretations of songs associated with Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter, Jimmy Reed, Willie Dixon, Magic Sam and other blues greats. The twelve-track programme includes "Just Your Fool," "Commit A Crime," "Blue And Lonesome," "All Of Your Love," "I Gotta Go," "Everybody Knows About My Good Thing," "Ride 'Em On Down," "Hate To See You Go," "Hoo Doo Blues," "Little Rain," "Just Like I Treat You" and "I Can't Quit You Baby." A further attraction is the appearance of Eric Clapton, who contributes guitar to "Everybody Knows About My Good Thing" and "I Can't Quit You Baby." ⸻ Sleeve (NM): The original gatefold sleeve is preserved in superb Near Mint condition, exceptionally clean and sharp with only the most minimal evidence of storage or handling. The sleeve retains a vibrant appearance throughout. Inner Sleeves: Original inner sleeves are present, completing the original double-LP package. Vinyl (M): Both heavyweight red-vinyl records are in outstanding Mint condition and remain unplayed. The surfaces are pristine and retain their untouched original appearance, making this an exceptionally strong example of the limited Carnaby pressing. ⸻ Details * RS No.9 Carnaby exclusive edition * Limited to 1,000 copies * 2LP gatefold * Heavyweight Stones Red vinyl * Rolling Stones Records / Polydor * Catalogue: 355 867-4 * UK pressing, 2021 * Original gatefold sleeve * Original inner sleeves included
