The intaglio depicts a crab surrounding engraved details. The polished gold setting provides a striking contrast with the dark surface of the stone. This item is accompanied by Birmingham Assay Office, UK centre for Diamond, Gemstone & Perl reports, including stone-testing confirmation of spinel. It also comes with an XRF analysis report, confirming ancient repair.
