Royal Irish Fusiliers, Waist Belt Clasp. A very good and scarce silver and gilt Victorian special pattern example, with a silver circlet bearing a Victorian crowned laurel wreath, at its base a tri-part scroll inscribed ‘Royal Irish Fusiliers’, mounted upon the seeded gilt centre, a gilt flaming grenade with a silver eagle resting upon a tablet inscribed ‘8’, mounted upon its ball, both belt loops with shamrock shoulders bearing the Maid of Erin and a Harp, with matching bench marks ‘45’, minor service wear, very good condition £180-£220.
