Rudy barret - Neon Rain - XL

eon Rain – Canvas artwork by Rudy Barret – XL ⸻ THE WORK The rain falls on the city and turns every light into a reflection. At the end of a dark alley, a woman crosses alone under her umbrella. A few meters away, a cat stands still, silently watching her pass. Around them, the red, orange and blue neon signs fragment on the wet pavement, giving the scene an almost cinematic atmosphere. With Neon Rain, Rudy Barret plays with depth and contrasts. The darkness of the alley acts as a natural frame that directs the eye toward the illuminated silhouette in the distance. The rain blurs the boundaries between reality and fiction while the reflections extend the city onto the ground. A nocturnal urban scene, solitary and contemplative, like the still image of a film whose beginning or end we would not know. ⸻ LOT DETAILS Title: Neon Rain Artist: Rudy Barret Edition: Limited to 10 copies (1/10) Dimensions: 46 × 66 cm (3 cm white border included) Support: Fine Art print on premium canvas Framing: Sold without frame or stretcher Delivery: Secure shipment in a rigid protective tube Certificate of authenticity: Provided exclusively by email ⸻ THE ARTIST’S WORD I particularly love cities in the rain, because they become completely different once night falls. Here, I wanted to give the impression that the viewer is itself hidden at the end of this alley and is simply witnessing the passage of this woman. The little cat was important to me. It adds a second presence to the image, almost a silent witness to the scene. In Neon Rain, it is mainly the rain, the reflections and the solitude that tell the story. ⸻ ABOUT THE ARTIST Rudy Barret develops an artistic universe blending photography, digital composition and thorough retouching work. His creations explore both portraiture and landscapes, the animal world and urban scenes. His work places light and atmospheres at the center, with an aesthetic that is often cinematic where each composition seeks to suggest a story beyond the image.
