Hand-Knotted Kashmir Silk Rug – India – Persian Floral Design – 94 × 58 cm Description Elegant hand-knotted Kashmir rug from India, made with a silk pile on a cotton foundation. The rug features a richly detailed Persian-inspired floral design with a central medallion. The deep red field is combined with shades of dark blue, turquoise, cream and warm natural tones, creating a refined and harmonious appearance. The fine knotting gives the pattern excellent definition, while the silk pile creates a beautiful soft sheen that changes subtly depending on the light and viewing angle. The design is inspired by classic Persian Kashan-style motifs, which have strongly influenced traditional Kashmir carpet weaving. Details * Origin: India / Kashmir * Hand-knotted * Material: Silk on cotton * Design: Persian-inspired floral medallion * Dimensions: approx. 94 × 58 cm, excluding fringes * Manufacturing period: 21st century * Decorative multi-border design * Fine and detailed knotting * Beautiful colour variation and silk sheen The rug is in good, well-kept condition. The fringes show only light signs of use and minor irregularities consistent with normal wear. A beautiful decorative piece for collectors and lovers of fine hand-knotted Oriental rugs.
