S. C. Richard - Gio Ponti - Kitchen container (4) - San Cristoforo Line

A touch of postwar Italian elegance for your designer kitchen! Immerse yourself in the history of great Italian design with this enchanting 4-piece kitchen set made by the renowned S. C. Richard (Società Ceramica Richard) workshop in Lambrate in 1946. Characterized by elegant faceted lines typical of Art Deco and by a refined ochre tint achieved by airbrushing, this set represents the stylistic heritage left by master Gio Ponti, who was artistic director of Richard-Ginori in the 1920s and 30s, revolutionizing the aesthetics of Italian ceramics forever. The period inscriptions (Zucchero, Caffè, Sale, Pepe) with a font unmistakably of the Twentieth Century make each jar a true collectible piece. Authenticity guaranteed: Marked on the bottom with the viscount symbol under the umbrella and the clearly visible inscription "S. C. RICHARD LAMBRATE 10-46" (dated October 1946). The salt container is wall-mount ready and comes with its distinctive original wooden lid. Perfect for enriching a vintage kitchen or to give a warm, refined, and history-rich character to a modern space. Founded in the nineteenth century, the Società Ceramica Richard merged with Ginori to form the Richard-Ginori giant, a worldwide symbol of luxury and Italian craftsmanship. Under Gio Ponti’s artistic direction, the manufactory won the prestigious Grand Prix at the International Exposition of Decorative Arts in Paris in 1925, cementing these productions in the pantheon of international collectors. A unique opportunity to acquire a finely preserved piece of Italian design history! The set includes: Sugar jar (about 18 x 10.5 cm) Coffee jar (about 18 x 10.5 cm) Pepper shaker (about 9 x 7 cm) Wall-mounted salt cellar with wooden lid "Sale" (about 17 x 14 cm)
