Second edition, entirely rewritten and considerably enlarged, translated from German for the latest edition by A.-J.-L. Jourdan, member of the Royal Academy of Medicine. Fine set in 3 volumes, devoted to chronic diseases and their homeopathic treatment, a major work by Samuel Hahnemann, founder of homeopathy. The three volumes are presented in beautiful uniform bindings, with raised spine bands, gilded titles and tomes, gilded fillets and fleur-de-lys ornaments. Condition: very good general condition for this 1846 set. Bindings solid and decorative, showing only a few signs of use. Interiors particularly clean and well preserved, with only a few small foxing spots and scattered stains, insignificant and without impact on reading. No notable faults observed. The three volumes form a particularly homogeneous and decorative set, interesting as much for a 19th-century medical book collector as for the history of homeopathy.
