Santicri (1992) - Handle with Care

Santicri has participated in numerous art exhibitions of international renown. Among the most significant, in 2022 he exhibited his works at the prestigious Palazzo Grillo in Genoa, and in 2023 he was present at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York, thus expanding his visibility in both national and international contexts. Santicri was recognized among the Best-Selling Artists of 2024 by Artmayeur, one of the most renowned platforms in the art world. In the same year, he was also among the top three most searched names on the platform Catawiki, another sign of growing appreciation for his work. These recognitions highlight his extraordinary talent and the increasing visibility of Santicri in the contemporary art scene. Technique: Resin and marble powder Measurements: H13 x L15 x P13 cm Condition: new Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed Edition: limited edition 100ex A simple, recognizable figure is transformed into something different. The little bear, a symbol of affection and protection, retains its form but loses its function: it is no longer something to touch or to experience lightly. The surface completely changes the perception of the work. What from afar seems familiar becomes distant up close, almost inaccessible. Thus a direct contrast is created between what we know and what we see. The piece plays precisely on this tension: on one hand it attracts, on the other it keeps at a distance. In this way, an image linked to childhood is reinterpreted in a contemporary key, becoming something more complex and less reassuring. SHIPPING INSURED! The serial number may not match the one in the photo. Born in 1992 in Macerata, Marche, the Italian artist pursued a path that, between study as a Geometer and Architecture, led him to collaborate with an artisan who makes resin sculptures. There arose the increasingly strong need to find himself and unleash his creativity. His works are sold all over the world, collaborating with galleries in Italy and Europe. Inspired by great masters such as Banksy, Shepard Fairey Obey, Basquiat, Keith Haring, KAWS, Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, Damien Hirst, Georgia O’Keeffe, Brook Andrew, Jeff Koons, Nicolas Party, Orlinski, Mr Brainwash, Space Invader, Warhol, Dillon Boy, Tracey Emin art, Joan Miró, Dalí, Picasso and Ai Weiwei, Joseph Klibansky, Kees Verkade, Herman Brood, Bram Bogart, Ton Schulten, Marlene Dumas, Jan Schoonhoven, Roger Raveel, Nic Jonk, Chris Berens, Lucebert, Lita Cabellut, Bram Bogart, Marianne Houtkamp, Piero Gilardi, Vinicio Berti, Roberto Miniati, Nunziante, Rabarama, Panamarenko, Guy Vandenbranden, Jan Fabre, Corneille, Jan Desmarets, César, Arman, Robert Combas, Michel Macréau and Pierre Soulages.
