Santicri (1992) - Handle with Care

Santicri has participated in numerous internationally renowned art exhibitions. Among the most significant, in 2022 he showcased his works at the prestigious Palazzo Grillo in Genoa, and in 2023 he was present at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York, thereby expanding his visibility in both national and international contexts. Santicri was recognized among the Best-Selling Artists of 2024 by Artmayeur, one of the most renowned platforms in the art world. In the same year, he was also listed among the top three most searched names on the Catawiki platform, a further sign of the growing appreciation for his work. These recognitions highlight the extraordinary talent and increasing visibility of Santicri in the contemporary art scene. Technique: Resin and marble powder Dimensions: H13 x L15 x D13 cm Condition: new Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed Edition: limited edition 100ex A simple, recognizable figure is transformed into something different. The teddy bear, a symbol of affection and protection, keeps its shape but loses its function: it is no longer something to touch or to live with lightly. The surface completely changes the perception of the work. What looks familiar from a distance becomes more distant, almost inaccessible up close. This creates a direct contrast between what we know and what we see. The artwork plays precisely on this tension: on one side it draws you in, on the other it keeps you at bay. In this way, an image tied to childhood is reread in a contemporary key, becoming something more complex and less reassuring. SHIPPING INSURANCE! The serial number might not match the one in the photo. Born in 1992 in Macerata, Marche, the Italian artist followed a path that, between studies in Geometrics and Architecture, led him to collaborate with a resin sculpture craftsman. There arose the strong need to find himself and unleash his creativity. His works are sold worldwide, collaborating with galleries in Italy and Europe.
