Alle Auktionen / Zeitgenössische Kunst / Santicri - Desecrated, La Dama con l'Ermellino
Santicri has participated in numerous internationally renowned art exhibitions. Among the most significant, in 2022 he exhibited his works at the prestigious Palazzo Grillo in Genoa, and in 2023 he was present at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York, thus expanding his visibility in both national and international contexts. Santicri was recognized among the Best-Selling Artists of 2024 by Artmayeur, one of the most renowned platforms in the art world. In the same year, he was also listed among the top three most searched names on the Catawiki platform, another sign of the growing appreciation for his work. These recognitions highlight Santicri's extraordinary talent and his ever-increasing visibility in the contemporary art scene. Santicri Mixed media Dimensions: 70x50x2 cm Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed Unique piece 1/1 An iconic work is struck by an egg, but it is not an act of blind destruction. The color exploding on the canvas is not chosen at random: it is the same as the inside of the egg, as if the essence of the gesture were transformed into painting. In Desecrated, the artist performs a visceral yet lucid intervention, where the apparent vandalism becomes a new language. It is a challenge to the passive respect for the image that is “untouchable,” but also a generative gesture: from the blow emerges a new balance, a new tension between past and present. It is a desecration, yes, but sacred in its own way — because it transforms a primitive gesture into an aesthetic statement. SHIPPING INSURED! The package is carefully packed. The canvas is shipped already mounted on a wooden frame; frame not included. The artist established himself in 2024 as one of the most sought-after names on Catawiki, immediately behind icons such as Kaws and Banksy. His art stands out in an exclusive context that includes other categories of excellence, such as Rolex, Lego, Louis Vuitton, Porsche, Eames, Macallan, Tintin, Cartier and Pokémon. A recognized talent not only for its creative value but also as one of the most promising investments of the year. Born in 1992 in Macerata, Marche, the Italian artist pursued a path that, between studies in Geometra and Architecture, led him to collaborate with a resin sculpture artisan. There arose the increasingly strong need to find himself and unleash his creativity. His works are sold worldwide, collaborating with galleries in Italy and Europe. His art is widely appreciated and cannot be missing among collectors of paintings and sculptures of street art, pop art, contemporary art. "It is never easy to classify one's art; I try to convey what my eyes see, my way of seeing what surrounds me, and I rework it with a design that blends well with modern times: impactful and memorable."
