Alle Auktionen / Zeitgenössische Kunst / Santicri - Snapshot, Smile #3
Santicri participated in numerous art exhibitions of international renown. Among the most significant, in 2022 he exhibited his works at the prestigious Palazzo Grillo in Genoa, and in 2023 he was present at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York, thus expanding his visibility in both national and international contexts. Santicri was recognized among the Best-Selling Artists of 2024 by Artmayeur, one of the most renowned platforms in the art world. In the same year, he was also listed among the top three most searched names on the Catawiki platform, another sign of growing appreciation for his work. These recognitions highlight the extraordinary talent and the increasing visibility of Santicri in the contemporary art scene. Santicri Mixed media, acrylic Dimensions: 70x50x20 cm Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed Unique Work This work fuses painting and object, transforming an immediate and recognizable image into a physical gesture suspended in time. The brush, incorporated into the canvas, is not just a tool but a living trace of the action, as if the mark had stopped exactly at the moment it was happening. The smiling face, universal icon of lightness and communication, is reinterpreted through a broad and imperfect sign, crossed by drips that crack its apparent simplicity. The smile remains, but is charged with ambiguity: between spontaneity and construction, between immediacy and something that escapes control. The insertion of the brush breaks the two-dimensional surface and moves the work into a hybrid dimension, between painting and sculpture. From it emerges a reflection on gesture as a real act, on matter as a trace of time, and on emotion as something visible but never completely stable. SHIPPING INSURED! The package is carefully packed. The canvas is shipped already mounted on a wooden frame, frame not included. The artist established himself in 2024 as one of the most sought-after names on Catawiki, immediately ranking after icons such as Kaws and Banksy. His art stands out in an exclusive context that includes other categories of excellence, such as Rolex, Lego, Louis Vuitton, Porsche, Eames, Macallan, Tintin, Cartier and Pokémon. A talent recognized not only for creative value but also as one of the most promising investments of the year. Born in 1992 in Macerata, Marche, the Italian artist followed a path that, between studies of Geometra and Architecture, led him to collaborate with a resin sculpture craftsman. There arose the increasingly strong need to find himself and unleash his creativity. His works are sold worldwide, collaborating with galleries in Italy and Europe. His art is widely appreciated and cannot be missing among collectors of street art paintings and sculptures, pop art, contemporary art. "It is never easy to classify one’s art; I try to convey what my eyes see, my way of seeing what surrounds me, and I rework it with a design that fits well with modern times: impactful and memorable."
