Sculpture, Imposante Napoleon Bonaparte - 30.5 cm - Bronze, Marble

Impressive and highly detailed bronze sculpture of Napoleon Bonaparte, depicted in his characteristic military pose with bicorne, long cloak, sabre and field glasses. The calm, self-assured stance with crossed arms gives the statue a monumental appearance. Particularly beautiful are the detailed rendering of the face, the clothing, boots, cloak folds and military attributes. The dark brown-bronze patina is lighter on the raised areas, so the details come forward nicely. The statue stands on a heavy black marble plinth, which forms a beautiful contrast with the warm bronze. On the bronze base there are several interesting features, including: * a handwritten signature in bronze; * a circular foundry/bronze mark; * a separately applied number A6806. These markings have been extensively photographed and make the statue even more interesting for collectors. A classic and decorative art object that is excellent to display in an interior, library, office, gallery or collection of historical and military art. Material: bronze and black marble Subject: Napoleon Bonaparte Signed: yes, signature visible on the base Numbered: A6806 Condition: good condition with normal signs of use and aging. The marble plinth shows locally small signs of use/imperfections; see the extensive photos for the exact condition. Carefully and professionally packed and shipped with tracking.
