Entirely handmade in Murano using lamp-working, these two glass strawberries in solid glass are a small classic of Italian design: simple in shape, precious in workmanship. Each strawberry is hand-formed while hot in ruby transparent red solid glass, in the typical heart shape that narrows toward the tip. The entire surface is marked by tiny pits that reproduce the seeds of the real fruit and, when struck by light, glow with reflections like many tiny lenses. At the top, the calyx of leaves is hot-applied in green glass: the tips extend over the fruit and, where green overlaps red, they take on deeper, darker shades. In the center a small curved stem emerges. The two strawberries come in different sizes, one large and one small, and together form a harmonious pair. They are perfect on a shelf, on a table, or in a glass bowl, and thanks to the solid glass they can also be used as paperweights. An original gift for someone who loves design, artistic glass, or simply strawberries. Each strawberry is unique: the arrangement of the pits, the shape of the leaves, and the small bubbles enclosed in the glass vary from piece to piece.
