Sculpture, violinista - 0 cm - Marble

Ancient statue Violinist by Aug.Moreau on a marble base Splendid antique sculpture depicting a young violinist playing. The sculpture bears the original plaque "Par Aug. Moreau" and fits perfectly into the French artistic output between the late 19th and early 20th century. The sculpture in patinated regulo is on a circular base of veined green marble; this Art Nouveau sculpture possesses a remarkable decorative presence and represents a fine work of art. The details of the face, clothing, violin and bow testify to the mastery of the Belle Époque sculpture ateliers. Artist: Aug. Moreau Title: Violinist Material: Patinated regulo (bronze effect) Base: Veined green marble Origin: France Style: Art Nouveau – Belle Époque Era: Late 19th century / Early 20th century Dimensions: Total height: about 43 cm; Base diameter: about 16 cm Condition: Excellent overall state of preservation for this antique sculpture. The original patina is well preserved and shows only slight signs of time, compatible with the piece’s era. The violin, bow and original identification plaque are present. The marble base bears a small age-related nick along the edge, very discreet and practically invisible when the statue is on display. This nick does not compromise the stability or the overall aesthetics of the work. See photos for visual description 40997208979967HL
