Self-Portrait in a Slant Fur Cap: Bust Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn

A fine impression of this exceedingly scarce little portrait, New Hollstein’s third state (of seven), before the extensive reworking of the plate. Trimmed to the platemark, slightly within at right. – A minute closed tear at the upper left edge. The sheet slightly toned with age. Verso with remnants of old adhesive tape and traces of a previous mounting, as well as two small areas of surface rubbing. Otherwise in good condition. | 1606 Leiden - Amsterdam 1669 | 15.-18. Jahrhundert | Druckgrafik | Nummer: 26x1669
