Reference: Album, Checklist of Islamic Coins, 1230. Qilij Arslan IV ruled the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum during its subordination to the Mongols. After years of rivalry with his brother Kayka'us II, Mongol intervention made him sole sultan at Konya in 1262. Real power increasingly rested with powerful officials, especially Mu'in al-Din Pervane. Qilij Arslan’s attempts to resist this dominance ended with his murder in 1265/66.
