Alle Auktionen / Kunst und Drucke / Shepard Fairey (OBEY) (1970) - Liberte Egalite Fraternite
A stunning poster by Shepard Fairey (OBEY) created in 2026, featuring the French republican motto “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity” in the artist’s instantly recognizable graphic style. The central female figure, surrounded by roses and ornamental motifs, stands out against the three colors of the French flag. Here, Shepard Fairey combines the aesthetics of activist posters, street art, and graphic propaganda to create a particularly powerful composition centered on the values of liberty, equality, and fraternity. This poster is from “Beyond the Streets Paris 2026,” a major international event dedicated to graffiti, street art, and urban cultures, held at the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris. The work is signed and dated 2026 in pencil by Shepard Fairey, a detail of particular interest to collectors.
