EW Seiko Sidera Chronometrie Sport – Goodwood 1966 Chronograph – Meca-Quartz Seiko VK64. Sporty and refined watch, in excellent aesthetic condition and perfectly functioning. This model pays homage to the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit and, in particular, to 1966: the last year of its original sporting era and the year in which the last great international competition was held there before the circuit closed to racing. The dial is rendered in an alluring British Racing Green, the traditional green associated with British motorsport competitions and the most prestigious English sports cars. An elegant colouring deeply linked to the history of offshore? motor racing across the Channel. On the green dial stand out the two silver sub-dials in contrast. The main hands, applied indices and the large Arabic numerals 12 and 6 are finished in gold tone, creating a particularly refined pairing with the British Racing Green. The white outer minute scale guarantees excellent legibility, while the steel case, chronograph pushers and crown complete the model’s sporty character. The watch is equipped with the Japanese chronograph movement Seiko/TMI VK64 Meca-Quartz, belonging to the Premium Chronograph VK series. This technology combines the precision and reliability of a quartz movement with a mechanical-style chronograph construction. The chronograph central hand advances with a fast, smooth motion in fractions of a second and, at the end of the measurement, instantly returns to the initial position with the dry reset feature typical of mechanical chronographs. The movement features a central 1/5 second chronograph, minute counter and 24-hour indicator. A solution particularly appreciated for combining precision, reduced maintenance and pleasant usability. Green perforated racing leather strap, with contrasting yellow-gold stitching and a light-colored inner lining. Custom Sidera tang buckle.
