Beautiful large and rare silver 1920s–1930s Art Nouveau style openwork pendant featuring a butterfly and floral motifs + chain (faceted Gourmet chain). Marked: "i" (= domestic: Dutch) tax mark for Dutch silver, used from 1906–1953. and master mark DD1: D. Deumers, Schoonhoven, Netherlands (1921–1951). NB. The meaning of a butterfly is closely linked to transformation, growth and rebirth, due to the metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly, which symbolizes personal development and letting go of the past.
