Prudhomme Company – Art Deco carving set – 950‰ Minerva silver – France, circa 1930 – Original case Description Elegant French carving set from the Art Deco period, comprising a knife and a three-toothed fork, kept in their original case. The handles feature a very beautiful geometric Art Deco decor, with facets and chevron motifs. The handles are in 950‰ silver, with the Minerva 1st title hallmark, alongside the master mark of Société Prudhomme / Stéphane Prudhomme, depicting a caduceus between “Sté” and “P”. This Parisian silversmith’s hallmark has been registered since 1928. The knife blade bears the inscription “PARIS INOX.” The blade and the fork tines are stainless steel. A very decorative set representative of French goldsmithing of the 1930s.
