Alle Auktionen / Möbel, Design und Spiegel / sökt - Extending table - table - Burr walnut - Biedemeier
There is a small blemish on the tabletop and on a loose board; see photo. There are three leaves; the original leaves had been lost and were later added separately, made of walnut wood. I was told. Wood type & veneer: The tabletop has a striking and decorative pattern that is characteristic of burl wood (root walnut) or flower mahogany. Coulisse system: The table is equipped with a wooden sliding mechanism (the coulisses). When the two halves of the round top are pulled apart, there is space in the middle to place one or more loose inlay leaves (intermediate leaves). This changes the round table into a spacious oval dining table.
