soul.arta - “The Golden Don”

«THE GOLDEN DON» Contemporary 3D sculpture - “The Golden Don” is a contemporary 3D sculpture that reinterprets the character of Scrooge through a sophisticated aesthetic inspired by the imagery of British gangsters from the 1920s and the visual culture of Peaky Blinders. - The figure is depicted as an authentic archetype of power and wealth: he wears an elegant tailored suit, sports the characteristic flat cap, and carries a case on his shoulder, while in his hand he knots a golden purse with the money symbol. - At his feet appears a sack with an iconic pattern and a precious jewel chest, transforming the very base of the sculpture into a genuine scene dedicated to wealth. - The cigarette between the lips, the glasses, the confident posture and the formal attire emphasize the character’s persona: ironic, authoritative and deliberately theatrical. - The surface is characterized by a refined combination of deep black, gold, bronze and metallic details, applied to create contrasts between shiny, patinated and tactile surfaces. Each three-dimensional element contributes to the construction of the work and emphasizes its sculptural presence. - The result is a piece that blends Pop Art, urban culture, luxury aesthetics and contemporary sculpture, turning a popular icon into an ironic representation of the relationship between power, money, status and ambition.
