Alle Auktionen / Zeitgenössische Kunst / Soyz Bank (1988) - Uncle Scrooge – No. 33 – Dell Comics – 1961
THE ARTISTE French visual artist, SOYZ BANK develops a universe where technical innovation meets artistic creation. His work rests on an original approach that transforms flat supports into genuine three‑dimensional sculptures, giving rise to unique works. His creative process is inspired by everyday objects often forgotten or considered ordinary: wine labels, comic book covers, newspapers, banknotes, packaging and many other elements become the raw material of his imagination. Through his exclusive concept “Reality Concept,” SOYZ BANK literally makes these supports protrude from their surface to offer them a new dimension. This artistic signature has allowed him to present his creations to collectors and at exhibitions around the world. His work revolves around two major collections. The first honors the world of luxury and the art of living. It revisits emblematic symbols such as fine wines, champagnes, cigars, banknotes as well as other prestigious icons. The early creations of this series also included stamps and various everyday objects reinterpreted in a novel sculptural form. The second collection is devoted to childhood memories. It revives characters, comics, cartoons and universes that have marked several generations, giving them a new presence through relief. Each piece combines sculpture and digital printing according to a process developed by the artist, making every work a singular creation.
