Splendid demantoid

Splendid specimen of Demantoid, a green variety of Garnet (Andradite), from Belqeys Mountain, Takab County, in the West Azerbaijan Province of Iran. The piece shows numerous crystals of an intense green color, with a rounded habit and well-faced surfaces, embedded in a light rock matrix that enhances the color contrast; the main crystal reaches about 13 mm in size. These features add aesthetic and mineralogical value to the piece. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the realm of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with rare exceptions always noted in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best showcase colors and details; however, slight tonal variations may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
