Statue, Hoogte 45 Cm Heilig Beeld Circa 1920 in...

45 cm Antique Germany circa 1920 porcelain bisque statue of a holy figure: Madonna and Child Jesus, hand-painted with blue, white, and gold paint. According to the Gospel of Luke, Mary was betrothed to Joseph when the angel Gabriel announced to her that she would become pregnant. Mary asked how this could be, since she had not yet had sexual relations. Gabriel said, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you" (Luke 1:26-35). Gabriel had more news: "Your relative Elizabeth is also going to have a child, in her old age. She is now in her sixth month of pregnancy, although people thought she was barren." Shortly thereafter, Mary traveled to a city in the hill country of Judea, where she visited Elizabeth and her husband Zechariah (the Visitation). Mary stayed there for about three months (Luke 1:36-56). Height: 45 cm Weight: 2.4 kg The statue is in very good used condition — missing a small top piece about the size of one finger. Please pay special attention to the photos to avoid disappointment. It is best to view the photos where you can clearly see everything. This provides a better sense of the condition than words. The statue is sold as you can see in the photos. Carefully packaged and insured. Shipped with a tracking number. Can also be picked up by the buyer in Ronse, Belgium.
