Still Life 1 - Remy Gecelter

Still Life 1 by Remy Gecelter Mixed Media 20.0 x 24.0 :: ‘Still Life 1’ is a homage to some of the masterpieces of modern French painting drawing inspiration from the works of Cezanne La Fresnaye and Matisse. The background of the painting is composed of three layers of thick acrylic texture applied with sponges and palette knives to create a striking effect. The books that support the bottle and the lemon contrast sharply with them revealing the intricacy and diversity of the human condition. The painting also showcases a blend of fluidity and rigidity in the various paint strokes and textures suggesting the need for adaptability and resilience in life. :: Type: Mixed Media Style: Contemporary Subject: Still Life Width: 20.0 Height: 24.0 Depth: 0.5 Weight: 3 lbs Framed: yes :: All art on Zatista is original and signed.
