Studio Delu (1976) – The Timeless – Popeye, “The spinach man” Shadow Frame 27 × 27 cm – Mixed media – Signed work With its Les Intemporels collection, Studio Delu brings comic book characters off the page to give them life in relief. This creation features Popeye and Olive through a genuine album page. In this humorous exchange, Popeye questions his appearance and character, while Olive responds with her usual frankness. In front of the page, a collectible figurine representing Popeye extends the scene into space. The composition is hand-assembled in a black Shadow Frame, whose depth emphasizes the dialogue between the comic strip and the figurine. Each Studio Delu creation is made individually. The choice of the page, the figurine, and their arrangement make this work unique.
