Studio Roderick Vos

The Little Bold Candelabra from the Dutch design label Moooi. This iconic object was designed in 2005 by the renowned designer Roderick Vos. The design is characterized by its material and technique: The candelabra is made using a highly precise laser-cut technique from a flat sheet of metal, resulting in hardly any scrap material. The steel is then given a matte black powder coating. Vos drew inspiration from geometric basic forms; the design consists of an elegant interplay of interconnected semicircles that together form a minimalist and modern interpretation of a classic multi-armed candelabrum.
