From a luminous and vital chromatic range. The brushstrokes marked by free and spontaneous gesture. Always caring for the composition and balance of the work, as if it were a musical composition, with its rhythm, its sonority, its pauses and its nuances. About the artist: SUSU, Susana Soto, is a creator of visual and plastic arts. Born in Barcelona in 1972. Holds a Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona (1994). Participated in Vitra’s summer workshop at Boisbuchet, France, in cooperation with the Vitra Design Museum and the Centre Pompidou. She has worked for more than 15 years as a graphic designer, art director, and teacher in higher art schools. In 2015 she began the path of illustration. Since then she has worked as an illustrator for publishers and the advertising sector. And in 2022 she began her artistic journey in Barcelona, in a shared studio with other artists. She works with abstract painting and portraits of women. Throughout her career she has received several awards and mentions, both in graphic design and illustration. And she has participated in collective art exhibitions in Barcelona.
