A handsome pair of square-topped side or occasional tables in the Neoclassical taste. Constructed with fine walnut and mahogany veneers, the tops feature a rich burl wood central panel framed by a stringing inlay and a cross-banded border with a high-gloss finish. The aprons are elaborately decorated on all sides with continuous marquetry panels depicting flowing foliated scrolls, grotesque-style winged creatures, and floral corner blocks. Raised on square tapered legs displaying inlaid foliated pendants and finishing in square brass sabots.
