Alle Auktionen / Sonstige / Table lamp (2) - Elegance - Brass, Steel, Textile - Set
Atmospheric and decorative set of two matching table lamps in a classic style. The lamps have richly decorated, brass-colored metal bases and are fitted with cream-colored shades featuring a striking print of historically styled handwriting, calligraphy and red wax seals. A particularly decorative pair that, with its warm appearance, sits well in both a classic, vintage and eclectic interior. ### Construction and details Both lamps feature a beautifully constructed base with various classical ornaments. The central section is executed in a stylized leaf or flower shape, combined with ribbed and profiled sections. The combination of gold and brass tones gives the lamps a warm, elegant appearance. At the front of each lamp base is a characteristic push switch with a light-colored button. This original look is clearly visible in the close-up photos. The metal surfaces have a naturally aged character with localized discoloration, patina, small dark spots and signs of use. It is precisely these age indicators that give the set lots of charm and character. ### Special lamp shades The two matching cream-colored shades form an important decorative element of this set. They are printed with various handwritten texts, calligraphic fragments, and historical writing motifs in black. Both shades also feature a dark-red image in the shape of a classic wax seal. The black piping along the top and bottom edges provides a nice contrast and completes the design. When the lamps are lit, the warm light shines through the cream-colored shades. This makes the texts and decorations come through particularly atmospherically. ### As a set The lamps form a harmonious pair. Placing them left and right of, for example, a sideboard, sidetable, buffet, mantel, or bed creates a beautiful symmetrical arrangement. They are also attractive as mood lighting in a living room, library, study, bedroom or interiors with antique and vintage elements. ### Condition The set is in used vintage condition. On the metal parts there are visible signs of age and use, including patina, discolorations, small spots and superficial wear. These are clearly shown in the photos. The lamp shades also exhibit the appearance typical of used decorative objects. Please inspect all photos carefully; they form an important part of the description and give a good impression of the condition, details, and execution. The lamps have been photographed from multiple angles. In addition, close-ups have been added of, among other things, the decorative base, metal finish, stand, push switch and lamp shade.
